Pastor George Jones serves as Senior Pastor and Teacher of The City of Refuge Christian Church
of Western Maryland (CORCCOWMD) in Frederick, Maryland.  Pastor Jones is a Native of
Philadelphia, PA.

Pastor Jones graduated from BOK Technical High.  There he excelled as a Welder.  He  enlisted into
the U.S. Army on June 21, 1976, and served as a Legal Clerk in the Judge Advocate General Corp.
serving his country for 22 years, retiring on July 1, 1998 at the rank of Sergeant First Class.

He married Helen Jones (Jones was her maiden name) on June 21, 1985.

As his passion and hunger to pursue Jesus grew, he began spreading the Word of God throughout
his travels covering 4 states and 3 continents.

He was called into the ministry and shared his first sermon in Denver, Colorado on October 10, 1980.

Upon retiring from military service, Pastor Jones attended The Kingdom School of Ministries in
Towson, Maryland graduating  #1
in his class and was Ordained on July 17, 2004.

Pastor Jones received an Associate Degree from Pierce Jr. College in Seattle Washington in June
of 1993.

He also attended the University of Maryland where his education is on going.

God has elevated Pastor George Jones to become a powerfully insightful Teacher, in the Frederick
Community, inviting all to come just as they are.
